CRIME STOPPERS POSTER CAMPAIGN WINNERS ANNOUNCED
"Making A Safer Community"
Crime Stoppers of Simcoe-Dufferin-Muskoka is pleased to announce and congratulate the Poster Contest winners, Emily, Eric and Shannon from St Monica's School in Barrie. Prizes of $100, $75 and $50 will be awarded to Emily, Eric and Shannon respectively.
The poster contest for elementary school students across Barrie ran from September to mid December 2009. The contest is one of the many outreach events run by Crime Stoppers each year to promote awareness of the program, its successes in helping the police solve crimes, and community involvement.
Crime Stoppers is a non profit volunteer led organization which partners with your local police services, the public, and the media to make our communities safer by accepting anonymous tips about criminal activities. January has been declared “Crime Stoppers Month” by the City of Barrie, several surrounding municipalities and our provincial and federal governments.
Holding up the winning posters are Barrie Committee Members Gord McNeice - Chair, Joshua Knight -Vice-Chair, Joanne Gates - Past Chair and George Faulkner - Committee Member.
