Crime Stoppers International is Seeking
the Public’s Assistance to Prevent Crime During The Vancouver 2010 Winter Games

Crime Stoppers International is seeking assistance from the public in reporting criminal information that may negatively impact the Olympic and Paralympic Games in Vancouver, Canada, in February and March of 2010. Criminal information received will be relayed to Canadian Crime Stoppers, to complement the security effort for the Games.
Crime Stoppers International is an umbrella organization operated by a volunteer board of directors from Crime Stoppers programs worldwide to establish guidelines to assure consistency. There are over 1200 Crime Stoppers programs operating throughout Canada, the United States, Europe, South Africa, the United Kingdom, Central America, Mexico and many Caribbean and Pacific nations.
"We are asking the help from the Canadian public in reporting criminal information deemed relevant to the smooth and safe running of the Vancouver Olympic and Paralympic Games," says the Canadian Crime Stoppers Association Chair Mr. Ralph Page.

Stolen Motor Vehicle - Clearview Township, ON
The members of the Huronia West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police are requesting the assistance of the public in solving this crime.
On February 2nd, 2010 at approximately 7:15 a.m., member of the Huronia West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police and the Clearview Fire Department responded to a motor vehicle that was in the ditch on Nottawasaga 12/13 Side Road and had been burnt. A further investigation by OPP revealed that the Red 1999 Ford pickup that was found burnt belonged to an individual from the City of Barrie. Upon Police contacting the owner of this truck OPP discovered that it was missing and was now being reported stolen. Police believe that this motor vehicle was stolen sometime after 12:30 a.m. from a residence on Burns Circle in the City of Barrie.
Break Enter and Theft from Construction Site - Barrie
Sometime between Christmas eve 1:00 PM to the morning of December 29th, two storage trailers at the Lakehead Universtiy construction site were entered. Over $20,000 worth of items were taken, including the following:
- 40 pieces of copper bush bar
- A red Kelson Air compressor
- STIHL "quick cut" saw
- C-cam (camera snake, including camera, machine and monitor).
These items were engraved with an identifiable number.

THEFT OVER $5000.00 - WASAGA BEACH
Crime Stoppers and Huronia West OPP are seeking your assistance in solving a $25,000 theft. Sometime in the early morning hours of August 21, 2009 an unknown person or persons stole a fishing boat, outboard motor, boat trailer and a large quantity of sporting equipment from the driveway of a residence located in the south end of Wasaga Beach.
Stolen items include a grey 2008 17' Lowe aluminum fishing boat, a black Mercury 115 HP outboard motor, a black 2008 Kara LB2 boat trailer, and numerous fishing, skiing and boating equipment items.
BREAK, ENTER AND THEFT - CLEARVIEW TOWNSHIP
Crime Stoppers and Huronia West OPP are seeking your assistance in solving an extensive break and enter in to a residence in New Lowell, Clearview Township. In the morning hours of Tuesday July 14th, unknown person or persons broke into a residence on Hogback Road and stole an extensive amount of goods including but not limited to a computer and printer, a television, stereos, DVD player and discs, jewellery, tools, a generator and a cross bow.
ROBBERY - WASAGA BEACH
Crime Stoppers and Huronia West OPP are seeking your assistance in solving a robbery. At approximately 1:00 a.m. on Sunday, August 2, 2009, a young man was walking alone on Mosley Street in the area of 18th Street. He was approached by 2 unknown males. The victim was assaulted and of his iPod. The victim sustained minor injuries during the assault. Police are looking for a Caucasion male, approximately 5'10" tall, with a shaved head and a tattoo on his shoulder.
BREAK, ENTER AND THEFT - CLEARVIEW TOWNSHIP
Crime Stoppers and Huronia West OPP are seeking your assistance in solving and break and enter and theft from a residence in New Lowell, Clearview Township. Sometime during the daytime of Monday August 10, 2009, an unknown person or persons broke into a home in the area of Fawn Crescent, and stole a large quantity of valuables. Stolen items include but are not limited to: a Toshiba television, a Macintosh music server, numerous jewellery items including a ladies diamond tennis bracelet and a diamond ring set.
BREAK, ENTER AND THEFT - CLEARVIEW TOWNSHIP
Crime Stoppers and the members of Huronia West OPP are seeking your assistance to solve a break and enter which occurred sometime between the evening of August 1st and August 2nd, at a residence on Concession 8, South Nottawasaga. The person or persons responsible for this crime made off with a quantity of valuables, including a Dell D2200 laptop computer, a black Targa computer bag, a red Nike golf bag, and a set of golf clubs including Ping irons, a Taylor-made driver, 3 wood and utility wood, and a Mizumo utility wood.
FAIL TO REMAIN COLLISION - CLEARVIEW TOWNSHIP
Crime Stoppers and members of Huronia West OPP are seeking your assistance to identify a suspect vehicle involved in a recent Fail To Remain vehicle collision. On August 1 2009 at approximately 3:30 pm, a line of cars was lined up in the north bound lanes of County Road 42, just south of Cashtown. A white van pulled out from the line of cars, and for an unknown reason, slammed into the side of a beige Toyota Camry that was stopped in the north bound traffic. The van then fled the scene, heading north on County Road 42. Unfortunately 2 females who were in the Toyota Camry were injured in this collision, and subsequently transported to hospital with undetermined injuries. Police are looking for an older model white Ford or GMC van with extensive damage to its front passenger side.

Crime Stoppers and members of Huronia West OPP are seeking your assistance to identify the suspects responsible for a Break and Enter and Theft of cash.
On August 6th, 2009 at approximately 8:15 a.m., unknown individuals entered a residence on Center Line Road. The residents were home at the time the suspects gained entry into the home. The suspects stole a large quantity of cash before leaving the residence. The investigation into this crime is on going with the assistance of the Huronia West Crime Unit.
FAIL TO REMAIN COLLISION - SPRINGWATER TOWNSHIP
Crime Stoppers and members of Huronia West OPP are seeking your assistance to help solve at Fail To Remain Motor Vehicle Collision. On September 5th, 2009 at approximately 11:55 p.m., a pickup truck struck a shed at a residence on Stone Street in the Village of Elmvale and fled the scene. This motor vehicle is described as newer black possibly a Chevrolet pickup truck with tinted windows, a loud exhaust, and a grey or white strip with a "Z" on the rear panel and damage to its right front corner. This pickup truck was last seeing fleeing the scene and heading south bound on Yonge Street (A.K.A. County Road #27).

Car Crash, Thief flees on Foot - Shelburne
On October 30th 2009 at approximately 11:30PM police responded to Simon Street in regards to a motor vehicle accident that had just occurred. Police quickly discovered the vehicle had been stolen from a few blocks away and the thief had fled on foot. The stolen vehicle struck a parked vehicle causing extensive damage to both vehicles. Police requested the assistance of Orangeville Police K9 Unit. The thief was not apprehended at the time. This hat was located at the scene.

MONO / ADJALA-TOSORONTIO TOWNSHIP, ON - January 2009
On January 27th, 2009 at approximately 4:08 p.m. officers from Nottawasaga OPP Crime Unit, Nottawasaga, Dufferin and Caledon OPP detachments responded to a residence located on the Mono Adjala Townline south of the 5th Sideroad of Adjala Tosorontio Twp where a violent home invasion had just occurred. The Victim called the police from a nearby gas station as the suspects had cut the residential phone lines.

THEFT OF TRACTOR TRAILER WITH LOAD OF WOOD - HUNTSVILLE
Sometime between 3:00 p.m. on Saturday December 12, 2009 and 7:00 a.m. and Monday December 14, 2009 a 2003 White Freightliner Tractor was stolen along with a black 2006 Lode King from an address on Old Ferguson Road, Huntsville. The trailer was loaded with lumber wrapped in a distinct blue / white wrapping with the words "DOMTAR" clearly written on it. The Tractor has "Wayne Smith Trucking" written on the door.The combined value of tractor, trailer and load is approximately $80,000.00.
The person responsible for this crime would possess a high degree of skill and expertise to accomplish this theft.
